In 2018, we purchased the very first set of LC-MS-MS equipment-Thermo Q Exective HF-X. After that, several other large-scale instruments have been freely delivered in CPMMR with several agreements signed:

By signing a two-year cooperation agreement with Beijing Institute of Hepatology, Beijing YouAn Hospital Capital Medical University and Beijing Liang Zi Jian Bao Technology Development Co., Ltd., 3 mass spectrometry instruments were obtained, which are 1 high resolution mass spectrometer-QEplus (ThermoFisher), 2 triple quadrupole mass spectrometers- QS with IVD QQQ (Waters) and 6495 QQQ (Agilent), respectively.

By signing an agreement with ThermoFisher, the latest triple quadrupole mass spectrometer-Atilas QQQ (ThermoFisher) was freely released for development of metabolomic platform.

By signing a R&D agreement with Bruker, the first high resolution TimsTOF Pro (Bruker) in domestic was freely delivered for development of cutting-edge technology. TimsTOF Pro innovatively uses a dual TIMS separation/enrichment device to achieve nearly 100% ion utilization. Compared with the traditional shotgun proteomic acquisition method, TimsTOF Pro using PASEF method can obtain deep coverage of protein information better, faster and more sensitively, and particularly with accurate CCS values. It’s a breakthrough since in the past 15 years of proteomic research, only graphic information of chromatograph and mass spectrometry has been obtained. The supplementation of CCS value can effectively reduce the false positive rate of identification, especially important for accurate identification of low abundance proteins. CPMMR will use TimsTOF to provide external services, as well as develop mass spectrometry methodology, so as to maintain the technological leading position of our center.

All the instruments mentioned above have been installed and debugged, and they have been put into operation for providing external services, conducting scientific research cooperation, and establishing novel technological methods. To present, our center has finished 49 scientific research cooperation projects, with more than 2000 samples tested. The number of the ongoing projects is more than 10.
