Xue Sun, Engineer
Xue Sun studied molecular biology and biotechnology in Queen’s University Belfast, UK (2017.09-2018.09). She focused on discovering and identifying natural antimicrobial peptides from amphibian skin secretions using molecular cloning and mass spectrometry. She isolated and identified novel dermaseptin peptides from frog and evaluated its bioactivities and cytotoxicity.
On the other hand, Xue Sun majored in Pharmaceutical Analysis in Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine (2014.09-2017.06). She focused on studying natural products’ chemical profiling and identifying active ingredients in traditional Chinese medicine.
Currently, she works as an engineer in CPMMR, leading a program of LC-MS and IM-MS method development on therapeutic drug monitoring for neuro diseases. On top of that, she focuses on targeted-metabolites determination and untargeted-metabolomics profiling characterization as well for developing specific disease markers as diagnostic reagents, which lay a solid foundation for early prevention of disease deterioration.
